SIMON BURGESS

Chairman

Simon spent his early career working for a well-known PLC with his training in finance and business management. He built his first house over 30 years ago. With his passion for architecture and design, he has grown the business to a well-respected local housebuilding company that specialises in delivering quintessentially East-Anglian-styled homes.

Simon is responsible for the overall running of the company, especially the land purchase, legal, planning and design areas of the business.

Oliver Burgess

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Oliver is responsible for the day-to-day running of the business. He leads all operations, ensuring every home is delivered to the highest standard, reflecting the company’s core values of quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.

He is actively involved across all areas of the business, including design, sales, and marketing, ensuring a clear and consistent vision is maintained from concept through to completion. Oliver also oversees the sale of all new homes from initial enquiry through to completion, ensuring a seamless and high-quality customer experience.

Sharon Burgess

Director

Sharon has been a part of Burgess Homes alongside Simon since the start and is responsible for supplier accounts and running the busy office. Sharon is also responsible for the overall design and management of the soft landscaping and oversees the show homes.

Victoria Thompson

Finance Director

Victoria is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds a BSc (First-Class Honours) in Business Management from the University of East Anglia. After 13 years with one of the UK’s leading accountancy firms, she joined the family business as Finance Director.

Victoria oversees all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and the development of the company’s long-term financial strategy. She is responsible for maintaining robust internal processes and controls, ensuring the business operates efficiently and with strong financial governance.

She is also closely involved in the legal aspects of the business, with a particular focus on planning and land acquisition. Victoria manages the legal processes associated with site purchases, supports planning applications, and ensures all agreements and due diligence are handled thoroughly to facilitate successful development projects.
